5 Ways to Skyrocket Your Instagram Story Views

Stories is the best place on Instagram to connect with your audience in a more authentic and personable way. By implementing the right features and tactics you can create long-lasting relationships, better understand your audience, and increase your engagement.

If you want to learn how, you’re in the right place! Below I have outlined 5 tips on how you can easily skyrocket your Instagram Story Views. ☺️

 

1. Consistency

This might sound obvious, but the more consistent you are on stories the better. As the more you post, the more opportunity you create to build connections with your audience.

I would recommend sharing 5-10 stories a day.

 

2. Stop With The Fluff

One of the biggest reasons people may skip or swipe past your story is because you are not getting to the point fast enough!

Let’s face it, social media users’ patience is running thin these days. You have to catch someone’s attention almost immediately to have them stick around.

Tip: Jump right into your point and skip past the “Happy Friday, the sun is shining today and the birds are chirping! It’s going to be a great day! How are you? …So today I wanted to talk about our sale…”

Even though the first part might sound sweet and nice it won’t hold the attention span of your audience. Skip past the fluff! 

 

3. Utilize IG’s Engagement Stickers

There are a bunch of user friendly tools and features to directly encourage audience engagement!

Currently, Instagram’s features include: polls, sliders, quizzes, and questions. All four of these features create great ways for you to ask your audience questions, get them involved, and receive instant feedback.

So next time you are launching a new product, adding a new service to your shop, or redesigning a product logo get on Instagram Stories and directly ask your followers what their thoughts are on the new product, if they can guess what new service you’re adding, or how they like the new logo design.

By doing so you will create a strong sense of community because your followers will feel appreciated, included, and heard.

 

4. Caption Generate Every Talking Video

You’d be surprised by how many people either (A) watch their Instagram Stories with their sound off or (B) don’t have the patience to sit through all your talking. Going back to my second tip, Instagram users want to be entertained fast; therefore, in order to help hook in the attention of your audience you need to add captions!

This allows users with their sound off to read through what you’re talking about, as well it allows your audience to quickly understand the gist of what you’re going to be talking about by scanning through your closed captions.

 

5. Use The Location and Hashtags Features

Last but not least, you can help increase your Instagram Story views by including a location tag as well as a few hashtags.

For hashtags, make sure you are using BIG hashtags, something a lot of people might be looking at or searching up. Using small niche hashtags is actually a no-no in this instance.

If you are worried about your Instagram story looking busy with the addition of hashtags and a location tag you can simply drag them off screen. Your content will still show up within those tags, while you keep your Instagram story looking clean.
